Scottish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Siobhan Wilson makes her debut as a soundtrack producer with the enchanting musical composition for the short film, 'Cloe, Cur Is Dlùth' set for release on Christmas Day. This much-anticipated soundtrack, available for pre-order on Bandcamp, presents a unique, limited edition cassette tape exclusively crafted by Olive Grove Records in collaboration with Sufrecs. Siobhan's venture into film scoring not only signifies a significant milestone but also reinforces her standing as an independent auteur, composer, and an influential figure in Scotland's thriving indie music scene.

This remarkable collection comprises three tracks meticulously composed by Siobhan in her home studio nestled in the Scottish Borders. Among these, a brand-new acoustic folk duet titled 'Dlùth Is Tu' features the ethereal vocals of Scottish Gaelic singer Josie Duncan, recipient of BBC Radio 2's Young Folk Award. The collaboration extends further with the involvement of Ross Ainslie, heralded as 'Scotland's most sought-after piper' by THE HERALD. Ainslie, known for his 'ridiculously talented' contributions, graces the soundtrack with his mastery of the whistle and bagpipe drones. Reflecting on the experience, Siobhan expresses her delight, saying, "I was so thrilled that Josie and Ross took the time to come all the way out to mine and spend the day recording here. I love this track so much! I have combined songwriting with composing, and it makes me so happy. I’d like to compose more film soundtracks."

This diverse collection showcases a meticulously crafted film music soundtrack, expertly weaving a tapestry of string soundscapes. Siobhan Wilson enlists the lush and hauntingly cinematic tones of FAME’s Skopje Studio Orchestra, whose contributions infuse the soundtrack with an array of evocative elements. From lilting piano melodies to the enigmatic and enchanting trills of the violin, complemented by the foreboding drone of bagpipes, the result is a truly distinctive and captivating score. This musical journey delves into themes of family, heritage, and intimacy, offering a profound exploration of emotional depth. Reflecting on the collaboration, Siobhan shares, "I was so thrilled to be asked to compose the music by director Dol Eoin MacKinnon at Macanta Media. It’s a real privilege to work alongside such dedicated professionals."

Siobhan Wilson, following the recent release of her double-album and her acclaimed contribution to the five-star reviewed indie game 'Planet Of Lana,' is set for an exciting musical journey ahead. Currently, she's pouring her creative energy into completing an album of songs, generously funded by Creative Scotland. This project, which ignites her passion for music and nature, signifies a thrilling phase in her career.

Looking ahead, Siobhan eagerly anticipates venturing into a new realm by composing her inaugural game score next year. Recognising the significance of bolstering female representation in video game and film composition, Siobhan expresses her fervor, emphasizing the need for more female voices in these domains.

She notes, "There are hardly any female video game and film composers, but there really should be more. It’s important for me to continue enjoying writing music as much as I can, personally aiming to be part of that conversation. I hope to score more films as it’s something that truly excites me."

Reflecting on her dedication to music, she adds, "Music is my home; I’ve devoted most of my life to writing, and I’m constantly learning. When I heard the string orchestra play through the cues, I felt like I could burst."

Siobhan acknowledges the invaluable support from her Patreon community, enabling her to persist in writing and composing. The backing from Creative Scotland and Olive Grove Records holds profound significance for her aspirations of establishing a stable career in music. Notably, the guidance of prolific composer, Peter Nelson and renowned recording producer, Graeme Young, in orchestration, alongside unwavering support from musicians and conductors, has enriched her journey, creating an incredibly positive experience, "I felt really supported by the musicians, the conductor. It’s been such a good experience."

Olive Grove Records in Glasgow takes immense pride in presenting Siobhan Wilson's debut soundtrack on this limited edition cassette tape. Lloyd who runs the label, expresses his admiration, stating, 'Starting off at such a high standard, this release is truly remarkable. The first track, especially, is incredibly special—I adore the harmonious blend of Siobhan and Josie's voices
